The iRoofing team just got back from a great time at the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association 97th Annual Convention. The event took place in Orlando, July 17th – 20th at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center.
The team at iRoofing went “all in,” participating in both the golf tournament and the shooting sports competition. App designer, Roxanne Matta teamed up with Software Consultant Frank Aliaga to conquer the links at the Celebration Golf Club. Meanwhile, Joshua Gless showed excellent marksmanship in the shooting contest, managing not to harm anyone around him! All did well on the courses and on the convention floor where they were joined by iRoofing Account Manager Donna Levy and iRoofing co-CEO’s, Daniel Meridor and Oded Shemla.
“We received a lot of compliments from our clients, especially those who have used our new Clearoof™ feature which we introduced in early July,” said Shemla. Clearoof™leverages aerial photography which is 4 times clearer than Google’s satellite images and 16 times clearer than Apple Maps or Bing Maps. The innovation makes remote aerial measurement faster due to consistent high-resolution clarity of roof images.
The iRoofing team was able to impress a lot of potential new clients, too. “It’s really nice when we get to meet people face-to-face and walk them through all the features of the app. Actually showing someone how to use the app on their tablet and letting them test drive the software never fails to get them excited. It doesn’t take long for them to realize how much time and money they can save,” said Meridor.
“Among the many new clients that have joined the service, it was nice to see some old-timers that have been with us for a long time and continue to use the software for new, impressive projects, like Earl W. Johnston from Hollywood, Florida,” said Shemla.
During the convention, Frank Aliaga spent time with the several branch managers of Gulfeagle Supply. In 2019, iRoofing formed a strategic partnership with Gulfeagle which aims to encourage roofing contractors to try out the efficient, cost-saving technology.
Joshua Gless met up with representatives from Boral Roof Tile and Components. Boral is one of the leading manufacturers whose products have long been featured in iRoofing’s comprehensive database of digital catalogs.
iRoofing didn’t attend FRSA only to meet business associates. “People coming by the booth really liked our huge dinosaur mural and kids at the show wanted their picture taken in front of the T-Rex!,” said Donna Levy. iRoofing’s dinosaur is the mascot for the company which promises that roofing professionals won’t “go extinct” when they hop on the technology bandwagon.
iRoofing handed out t-shirts bearing the dinosaur’s frightening, snarling mugshot while toting an iPad in his tiny T-Rex claws. In no time, iRoofing gave away 200 t-shirts to adoring fans! “Next time, we’ll bring more,” said Meridor. “It was so much fun meeting everyone at FRSA’s big convention and we can’t wait until next year.”
iRoofing thanks the FRSA for another outstanding program of events and an amazing show enjoyed by all the professionals in attendance.
